Hi,
Looking at mounting a 6 disc CD changer. Thinking of mounting just under the main head unit. I'll need to build a shelf or a bracket of some kind.
Like to see a pic of the factory set-up.
Anyone have this boat with a factory install?

Steve,

I'll be bringing my 210SD home from a temporary storage location later this week it looks like. I had to pour about 90' of concrete to make a space to fit it in. I'll be under the covers working on a few projects over the winter, the factory radio being one item that will be replaced. Let me know exactly what you're looking for in your pics and I'll do what I can to get them for you.

Trucky,
Like to see a pic of the OEM trim-if any-on the bottom edge of the swim platform & the inside edge of the ski hatch.
I've since replaced the radio with an OEM Clarion unit & now the remote functions as it should.
I now have a collection of 3-4 XMD-1 head units should you get stuck.
Just bought 4 new Clarion CMG1620R speakers pulled from a new 2012 Formula 45' yacht, still in the boxes. Hoping they will fit with the OEM covers.
Since found out from Sea Ray the boat was not available with a 6 disc changer so I'll be looking for a spot to mount that. May have to build a shelf for it inside the storage area, forward of the helm.
Appreciate the help.

Cheers,
Steve Craig

Good question. Picked-up the disc changer, amp, XMD1 head & a few other goodies dirt cheap last Summer.
Has anyone here figured out how to input an I-pod to the Clarion XMD1 head?

Trucky,
Thanks for the link. Looks easy enough, may fabricate it over the long Winter.I have the cable from the CD changer & may use it as a starting point.

Cheers,

Trucky,
Looking at the pic, does an I-Pod have RCA jacks ? I'm still using an OEM 8 track player in my old Buick. These new fangled gadgets get me confused.

Steve,

As far as I know (not real far some days) the iPods have a proprietary jack on their end. The end that plugs into your stereo can be either the stand 3.5mm aux jack or and RCA jack. So, I believe you need a "special" ($$) cable to connect an iPod. Seems they are like $18-26 when I was last looking.
