One of my favorite boats to upgrade is the 580 Sundancer. They are few and far in between but shewwwww! the possibilities are endless with this beauty. Check out the updates we performed. We gutted the original Raymarine suite and upgraded to Garmin.
Here is the scope of work:
-Remove E140's and replace with Garmin 8616xsv
-Remove 4' Raymarine open array and install Garmin xHD2 open array
-Replace Autopilot with Garmin Reactor 40 Retrofit
-Install Airmar B60 thruhull and connect to 8616xsv
-Install card reader and GRID 20 remote
-Remove ST60+ and replace with GMI20
-Connect Fusion stereo to NMEA2000
-Install and connect the analog GC14 camera to 8616
-Network and NMEA all devices
-Template and fabricate custom panels... the BOE Marine way.
Here are the before pictures:
Here are the after pictures:
This upgrade was completed for approximately $35,000 (labor + material + travel) BUT not everything had to be done at once. The great thing about marine electronics is they can be done piece-by-piece or all at once depending on your budget or urgency for new gear.
