i posted recently that i'm starting my search for our next boat, a 40-50 foot flybridge. yesterday, i saw a new 400 Fly at Marinemax and was able to be on the boat for a couple of hours and test drive it. I was initially let down that it doesn't come with pods, but V drives instead, but after discussing, and test driving, and considering the maintenance, i like the V drives a lot. I'm still gonna look around, but i might have found our next boat! loved everything about it.

Love it - sexy boat - spent a fair amount of time on one at FLIBS a couple of years ago.....if your worried about maneuverability, just get bow and stern thrusters (come in handy in the tight fairways and ripping currents at Miami Beach Marina LOL)......Also, as you know, we pay for everything "by the foot" (slips, bottom cleaning, detailing, hauling, etc) and in that way a 40 footer sure has advantages over a 50....

V drives is the only option on the 400 fly. the one i'm looking at has 2 heads, and an hydraulic swim platform that is really nice. it also has a remote electric spool for the 50 amp cord. that would be so convenient. and a whole lotta storage for a 43 foot boat.
