Nice! Super smooth!

According to the brochures, Lake Michigan is always smooth! Isn't it?! Lol!

This was from last summer. I shot this with a GoPro. It's my buddy with a humpback whale, 6 miles offshore. Amazing experience.

Spent a few days hiking and biking last week on Mackinac Island, MI as a warm up to the North Channel next week.

Old meets new. Huckins #402

Mackinac Island State Harbor.

Biking the shore road.

Ken, how is the water quality in the delta , well upstream from the bay? Clean? Can you swim in it? temp in the summer?

The delta is fresh water and the temps vary depending on which area you are in. Shallow water has weeds growing so we stay in at least 10-12 feet of water when anchoring at a minimum. The temp yesterday was 72,3 but hot weather will drive that up a bit. Supposed to be around 105 the next couple of days! We swim in the Delta for 3 or 4 months out of the year, the temps depend on how much snow melt we get. We also have Water Hyacinth the is an annoying invasive water plant that we are working with the state to control. We use the news media to shame the state into doing something about it. It floats so it's not a huge concern for fouling strainers but it also hides debris.

I used to swim in the Vallejo area, which is brackish, and closer to the bay, so I was curious if it was clean further up where you are. 72 is nice. Warmer than what we are getting here at the moment.

Anchored off of Pelee Island this past weekend!

I took my announce staff out for some parasailing this morning. Beautiful weather here in the Okanagan Valley.

AMFM at the downtown dock.

Ready for fun!

Away we go!

Man I love being a boater.
