Hello fellow boaters!
Just bought our first boat, a brand new SeaRay.
Wife and I (and our Golden retriever) took it out last Friday for the first time. Afternoon ride for snacks/wine and sunset. Stayed out later to view the "blue moon" and got back to the harbor around 10pm (first night boating too).
It was simply awesome.
Saturday took the kids (young adults) and their friends out for the day. What a great way to bring people together!
Got lots of looks at the new 270 SunDeck and some nice comments.
We boat on lake St. Clair.

Congratulations and welcome to (your first post on) CSR!

Welcome to the Forum... Congats on the new boat. I really like the layout of 270 it has a lot of room. It should be perfect for Lake St Clair. I am curious where your storing the anchor?... The boat I was on had no real designated storage for it.

Have fun !

There is a locker under the front middle seat that houses the anchor and has a tie off in it (just in case).

That's a helluva first boat! Congrats, and welcome to the club!

Welcome aboard

Pics or it didn't happen. Welcome to the club.

Brand new for a first boat? Even if I won the lottery I'd be too afraid of scratching a new boat to buy new, much less let a doggie on board.

//does that mean mine is about the same size as yours? 26'5" overall. Crazy the way those numbers change.

Here are some pics pre delivery and in our slip.

I doubt the 240 is the same size as the new 270. It can seat 15 seated underway if needed.

We are looking at a 2016 270 Sundeck OB on the gulf of Fla. Took it out yesterday to test how the boat responds with a 300 hp OB. Quite impressive!

What are your thoughts/comments on the boat now that you have had it for several months?

Thanks, Alan

The new 270 is about 8" longer than the classic 240SD with the extend swim platform.
Beam is still the same. 8' 6"

I'm in Michigan, so we've been out of the water for a few months now.
That being said, we absolutely love the boat. Plenty of space, handles great, easy in and out of the water from the big swim platform.
I don't have any regrets, complaints or issues with the 270 SunDeck.
