2015 260 Sundancer,What's the good,bad,the Ugly??? I can't think of anything.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I'm going to be taking possession of this boat Oct First. thought I would ask the forum what i should be expecting.

Nice pocket cruiser. What power pkg are you getting? I had the 350 MPI with Bravo III out drives. Adequate power, for most situations but borderline underpowered IMHO.

These boats have an 8.6' beam so they can be trailored in many states without a special permit.

The hull design creates a boat that can tip to one side if you don't use your tabs right. The first time it happens it will freak you out a bit, but once you master the tabs you'll find that it handles well and is not a problem.

Dave S is the resident expert and has written a lot. Find the 260 owners section and you'll find tons of great info.

Great boat. We started with an 02 260DA. Two young kids and two dogs. Nine months later we bought a used 320DA. Nine months after that we bought a used 420DA with Cummins 6CTA 8.3M3 450 diesels. That one we kept for 8 seasons and put nearly 1,000 trouble free hours on it. Kids got bigger and started bringing friends and more "stuff" on board..so in November '13 we bought a used '07 52DB with MANs. So--the only problem with a 260DA is that it leads to bigger and more expensive Sea Rays...
Enjoy.

I agree that the 260 can be a gateway drug that leads to 6-foot-itis disease. My story is similar.

We just purchased a 2015 280. It has about 70 hours on it and was only used this past summer ( it was bought new in May). This is our first boat, anything we should look for or know?
