Bottom line..... Judge told Goodell you can't make up the rules as you go along, which is what he was doing.

Big deal....there's a crap load more important stuff going on in this world to worry about....there's cheating in EVERY sport (not agreeing with it jus sayin).....Goodell's a moron and makes crap up as he goes along....flame away.

Yea.... I am sure the reason that Wilson threw that interception was cuz Brady let out 2psi of the footballs........
Hate-em cuz you aint-em

So slight change in direction.... the admiral is from Pittsburgh (actually Ligonier) - her whole family are black n gold fanatics - and wherever we have lived in the world she has made it her little part of Steeler nation. Even when we lived in Seattle - though after the Hawks fans had torn down the banners a few times she dampened it down a little (post 2005 hangover - once they did that with a banner in the front of the house actually during the superbowl final for XLV).

As a transplanted Brit - I still hanker after Ruggers, Cricket and Soccer, though I have grown to love the "other" Football and kinda adopted the Hawks when we moved there in 2008. What I would never imagine - is that my wife would refuse to watch the Steelers - last night I spoke about the annual purchase of NFL Sunday Ticket, and she refused !!!!! :smt013

Then she got annoyed at me and the audacity that I even asked her about watching the Steelers !!!! It was one of those type of conversations - "REALLY ..... If you do not understand then you are not the husband I married !!" - wth

So - this morning I finally find out why - we are a "dog" family in the extreme, my wife used to run and now helps coordinate the Canadian branch of a rescue society - and we have rescued and fostered/adopted many dogs - so she told me about the Vick signing. I had been so busy I had missed it - well it looks like she will Join me supporting the Hawks this year.

The good news is - the annual unpacking of Steeler Nation decorations - and the family grief after every loss - and the post season frustrations (at least since 2011) - will not happen this year. Anyone want to buy an inflatable Terry Bradshaw - only one small leak that needs air every three days

What do Hillary and Brady have in common?

just saying.

Looks like the Pack opened preseason in the usual lack luster manner. They did play very person that could throw a ball though. Lets see how they do in a real game?

TB has had much play here. Love him or hate him he's still brings the mail when called upon.
So everyone is upset with the Vick signing. He did his time and now he's working. He's no different than any of the gangsters, thugs and wife beaters the league allows to play.

Let's all have a great season opener all.

Buckeyes off to a nice start.

Patriots sure seem to have a reputation for cheating around the league.

"...at least 19 NFL teams — most of the league — have confirmed that they took precautions against the Patriots that they didn’t take against any other opponent, because they were more concerned about spying when they faced the Patriots than they were when they faced any other opponent."

Interesting read, The NFL came down hard on Deflategate because they already brushed the Patriots cheating in Spygate under the rug to stifle a congressional investigation and hearing on game fairness.

Of course the Pats fans will go bonkers on this.

I worry the Bengals playoff appearance streak ends this year. Andy Dalton has proven he is a good QB, but he is not a Game Changer or anyone who can put the team on his back and make plays to win the game. Hopefully, the Sqeelers and Ratbirds get eliminated from the playoffs early, it would make me happy.

I think the Dolphins, Broncos, Saints and Eagles all make a good showing in the playoffs.

AFC: Patriots over Colts
NFC: Packers over Seahawks
SB: Packers over Patriots

The Bucs will suck once again!!!!!!! Hey, I've only been wrong like twice with this prediction so that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Very well put Pete. I'm still not sure about the Colts going far in the playoffs. Their defense is very suspect still. The luster is certainly wearing off the goody two shoes look of the Seahawks as they have trouble in the locker room. They're now a normal football team with the infighting over who's making what. Pats will go far but won't win it. Agree on the Pack winning it!

Mark, you are dead on, the Colts aren't sure about the Colts. The run stop group is pretty much all new, so it could be great or grating. They do benefit from a great schedule so I expect a playoff spot.

After considering all of the dysfunction and distraction with the Seahawks this offseason, I am substituing the Cardinals into the NFC Championship game. Last year they were 8-1 before Palmer's ACL derailed their season.

Agree that Patriots win tonight. In the other Prime Time games I like Cowboys, Eagles, and Vikings.
