Looking to replace my Sony stereo and need some help finding out how the existing Sony remote cable is routed from the helm to the head unit in the cabin. I am looking to install a fusion and connect it to the NMEA backbone. Also going to install Sirius so I need to route that antenna cable as well. Anyone have experience?

Two things to consider, the new Fusion Apollo remote is connected via ethernet, not nmea 2k, and they also make a wireless remote if you just want basic functions. I have an Apollo 770 head unit, ERX400 remote and ARX70 remote in my system.

Often, it's routed above the headliner in the cabin. But you probably won't be able to reuse the existing remote cable with anything? Meaning, it doesn't really matter. Any wires that you need to run - just do it the easiest way for you. This would probably be: Dash... bilge... across to other side... forward to MDP (behind the mid cabin false wall).

Thank you, I was only looking to use the existing wire as a pull string to pull in the new cables but I figured I would still need to help it along the way.

Gotcha. It's going to be secured along the way, though... so, good thought - but won't work :)

I got inspired today and took apart a lot of the mid cabin interior and I should be able to run the cables from the helm down behind the AC and up along the wall and behind the interior panel. Keeping it all inside and not needing to go in the bilge at all. I just need to confirm I can get from the helm to the back of the AC cabinet. Which I am assuming I can because I can see the hull side behind the cabinet.
