I have a 2010 185Sp w3.0TKS i/o. After 61hrs over 2 yrs the engine appears to be junk. Anyone else have similar probs?

Nope, I had the identical engine in a similar boat and it performed flawlessly. Seriously, I can't think of much beyond the annual maintenance in the two years I owned it. Care to offer some detail of what you are experiencing?

Engine began losing power while cruising at approx 4000 rpm. Within minutes, a metallic rattling sound was heard, throttled back to just above idle power, vibration eased up but engine felt like it was going to quit, very rough running. After shutdown, and cool down, engine would not start although it did crank. All eng indicators were normal prior to prob. Tech says valves on #2 cyl head were being pushed up into head, there was 0 compression in #2 cyl. and plug electrode was melted away.

The 3.0L has been a mainstay of the marine environment for decades. Overall it has an excellent track record. But, it's a mechanical thing and anything can happen.

Your engine came with a 2-year warranty, standard (longer timeframe optional).

We had excessive wrist pin noise in our 3.0L in a previous boat at 50 hours. Sea Ray replaced the entire unit. These engines are known for their reliability, but things happen. They'll take care of you.
