Well we had great weather and 31 Sea Rays rafted up in a circle for Labor Day weekend. I have a few pictures taken with my Blackberry but will follow with more as well as video taken from a helicopter. The "party dock" sits in the middle of the circle. The very dark photo was from the dancing Saturday night. The movie screen on the 560SB was for the dinghy drive in on Sunday night, very cool.

BTW, the lines stayed in place until the circle was complete then they came off.

I will need the next week to recover though...

A few more pics....

On the way back to the marina I noticed the port side voltage gauge was down almost to 10 volts. When I started to ramp up the RPM's there was an engine alarm so I had to cut it back. Eventually the alarm kept sounding and I had so much crap packed up in the cockpit I couldn't open the hatch to check into it.

I ended up getting the alarm at slow speed so I cut the port engine for about 2 or 3 miles and ran at about 6 MPH into the marina. I decided to start the genny to see if it cleared the alarm after I left the gas dock for my pump-out. the alarm was on at idle when I fired the engine up so I cranked up the genny and it did stop the alarm. Looks like another trip to the ER to see what the problem is. I hope no dripless seal issues since I had to run on one engine for a while...

Very cool...hopefully the feature movie wasn't "A perfect storm" or "Titanic".

I see there are not too many morning people in your group or they are still in a coma....Great shots

No, mornings were rough as there were several "after parties" each night. I am in recovery mode now...

Sounds like your alternator went out and your generator with your charger on gave the batteries enough juice.

Looks like a lot of fun and good times for all. I am curious as to how everyone handles the generator exhaust if the boats aren't swinging freely on the anchor when rafted up for the night?

How do you handle the risk and possible liability issues if your generator systems is found to be at fault in the unfortunate event someone gets hurt?

Sorry to be such a worry wort but with so many people looking for someone else to be at fault and liable it makes me think about issues like this?

Most boats only run the genny a couple of times a day for cooking & charging batteries. I didn't hear any running at night and it wasn't so hot that the A/C had to be run to sleep. We typically have a nice breeze if not wind on the Delta so fumes are not usually an issue. I would say close to 1/2 of the boats are diesels so they just stink a bit.

This is the 17th year the club has done this and there has never been an issue I know of. BTW, 4 of the guys there have been to all 17!
