Bravo III
this past winter we purchased a 150hr 2009 330. 496/Bravo III.
We are in mass. Dealer in Indiana.
Flew out to look at it, as it was in the showroom. Had a valuation survey done.
Was informed it was test drove when they got it, and again right before we had it deliv to us.
I took it on good faith the boat was ok. The deal was it should be drop in ready when I got it.
-both engines very hard to start on day off splash
-on the way to my marina in the water, port engine low pressure warning comes on. Shut it down. Limp home.
-pull pump off engine and very little water coming in. Indicating a blockage in raw water line through the drive/transom.
-neither engine will start at all since first day. Crank but no start.
The dealer service manager says he test drove the boat himself, and can't believe what's happening.
Well, neither can we.
The boat is now on hard, waiting to get in to a shop.
Assuming the dealer is being honest here...any ideas on what could have happened to account for all this? Within days, it supposed went from a successful test drive to not starting and having a blockage somewhere in one engine.
I have a sick feeling that nothing can account for this and they took advantage of the situation and sent me a problem they got off their hands.
I've heard it said before but thought I'd be ok.
Never again.
Never. Never. Never.
Buy a boat without driving it yourself first.
Incredibly frustrating.
