I just purchased a 2008 Sundeck 240. I have been cleaning and repairing a few minor things one of those being the alignment of the center windshield. While turning the adjustment screw on the bottom of the frame I broke the center glass. Where do I go to get a replacement without needing to get into both my pockets. I see the windows are made by taylormade. Any ideas will help. Thanks in advanced.

So this is over 2 years old, but I just did the exact same thing today on my 2007 240 Sundeck. Did you ever find a replacement? (If you're still around here)

I'm sorry this happened to you. There was a similar thread a while back, it may have been a different model, but same problem. The glass is a custom lamenated/tempered/or otherwise custom, expensive, non-stock item that has to be special made.
You can call Taylor-Made for an exact fit. You might find a match at Great Lakes Skipper, or ebay. (if you are lucky)

Previous solution, as I recall, was to go the the big box and get a piece of 1/4" lexan, cut it to the right size, and get back to enjoying the boat.

From the way that it broke, I can see that it is 1/8" thick tempered glass. It is not laminated.
I called Taylor-Made today and got a price of (gulp) $840 just for the glass with a 6 week wait for it to arrive.
According to them it is a flat piece of glass with a tint.

I then went to a local glass shop and explained the situation to the owner.
His price is just under $100 for a piece of tempered glass with a 7-10 day wait.
He'll have it custom made from a template that I need to provide.

I'm on my way tomorrow morning to make the template and drop it off to him.

I'll post back in a few days with and update.

I made a nice template out of masonite and brought it to the glass shop. Since I figured out how to remove the windshield center frame, I brought that too.

When he saw the slight curve in the frame, the guy at the shop said "no good". He is only able to get flat glass, and that slight bow in the frame will make it impossible to install the glass.

I got some 1/8" lexan, I'll make a temporary piece for now, and keep looking for a replacement.

As a follow up, I used the boat all summer, and the lexan held up very well. Only very minor scratches and it still looks good. I'll leave it in for a second year and reevaluate next winter.

Incidentally, I got a quote from Ocean Dynamics last year and it was higher than Taylor-Mades quote.
