2008 Rendezvous TN River?

Have any more plans been made for SeaRay or Chattanooga yet?

Looking like it will be a Chattanooga run on Thursday since the Sea Ray Plant will be closed Thursday.

Don't worry Chuck. I won't ask where the Clinch/Emory Rivers join the TN. Cook out works for me.

Thanks, its about an hour ride.

I'm really looking for ideas, how much time do we want to have group things planed versus private family times.

I am excited my vacation has been approved!!! I will try to make reservations tomorrow if I can catch a break at work. Jane is looking forward to this trip almost as much as I am.

When your Ford bites the dust pulling those GMC products up the grade Searide I will hook up Mr Cummins to the entire group to finish the pull.

What ever is decided lets skip the shinny boat contest. The winner is already apparent unless some big birds fly over the cleanest shinest 1999 boat I have ever seen.

I'm updating the 1st message with the attendance and misc info so it will make it easier to find.

Sounds great Paul, I was wondering when Mr Cummins was going to show up. We will just have to watch out for Gerald:lol::smt043:lol: and his towminater machine:lol::smt043:lol:

I just maped the route and they showed us going thru Knovville and then down to Ten Mile for a 4 hour trip. Would it be better to go out towards Atlanta and pick up 129 north bound just below Commerce?

I would stay on the I26/I40/I75. US129 is only 2 lanes and goes across Blood Mtn a big/long/winding section of narrow 2 lane road. I've pull MS Judy across it, no fun. If you wanted/needed to go via Atlanta go on down and pick up I75.

Neither will I Morpheus. However, I am concerned about Mr. Bolt's Chevy and Midway's GMC. They shouldn't be too hard to find though. Their radiators will probably be sending up smoke signals.

SeaRide, FORD Fix or Repair Daily, GMC Great Mountain Climber. Don't worry too much I think we will make it ok.:smt043

Even though I drive one:

Cheap Heap Every Valve Rattles Oil Leaks Every Time

And I always thought Ford was First on Race DAY...you know that is a joke, right.

I made our reservation today so we are in. They still have rooms left for others who want to join in. Who is the Mr Alb... guy Maggie kept refering to? Chuck was supposed to have set this trip up. Must be a set up for a time share pitch...

Ok, I've hit a road block with the wife, she's all of a sudden concerned about towing the boat so far and also towing in the mountains since I've never even driven in the mountains.

Also she wanted to know how many wifes are going.

Also she's got a hard time of going to something that has no plans yet. She's a plan and do it person not a go with the flow person.

She's starting to lean back to the don't go way, but she also said take your dad and she will stay home.

The towing is not a big deal so forget about all of the bad jokes about break downs. Mr Cummins can handle a Nissan in addition to the Chevys and Fords. Oops looks like another bad joke.

I am from Florida and the first trip to the "mountains" was thrilling, and a little scary.
Towing in the mountains is easy if you use good sense. Coming up I75 there is nothing I would worry about, as for the side roads Chuck will chime in on this. Follow the posted signs, down shift a gear on the way down if you are worried about picking up too much speed and enjoy the beutiful mountain scenery and air.

We did the Charleston CSR trip last year and my wife had the same concerns as your wife. In the end the plan came together in a lot less time than this get together. Three wives came and every one had a great time. She will be missing a great trip and shopping in Chattanogga if we go that direction. I am sure several wives are coming on this trip including Jane. If your wife would like to talk with Jane PM me your phone number so that she can call you.

Search CSR for the Charleston trip to get an idea and pictures of what went on. Good luck.

I don't know, sounds like a Realtor setup to me:lol::smt043:lol: Maybe it is his alter ego (Fun loving Sea Ray boater by day(Chuck) and used car salesman realtor by night(Mr Albury)) never,never,never:smt021:lol::smt021:smt100:smt021

Morpheus - Don't worry about the mountains. Since you are going to be coming up 75 all the way, no mountain in your path. Tell your wife, from what I'm hearing there is going to be wives, kids, plus others. She will not be the only wife. It still early about setting plans in stone. Still throwing out ideas so we can setup some plans.
