2008 Rendezvous TN River?

Times Like These and SR 360 AFT,

Thanks for the info. Any other local knowledge you can provide would be greatly appreciated as I would prefer to keep the propeller and drive in one piece. Otherwise, I will have to use Mr. Stihbolts and his Bravo III as a stump/shoal finder (lead boat).

Thanks again.

It is the water-logged logs just below the surface you really have to watch out for:smt089:smt100:smt089

Charlie, Did you not get the memo, you are the lead boat. You and your alumicruiser. :smt038

You sure that thing is going to float after all those mods to it. (Grin)

I've been boating on the TN River my whole life. The channel is well marked and easy to follow. DO NOT follow the bass boats! They either have local knowledge or sh&t for brains (either is as likely). The submerged, waterlogged trees and stumps will get you. Luckily, I've only had 2 serious encounters that caused injury and/or damage beyond props in my time on the river. The last one was 2 years ago when I hit a 32" diameter x 7' L tree that was waterlogged and floating about 15" under the surface. I had a direct hit with my starboard running gear at 30MPH. Threw everybody on board off their feet, drinks and food everywhere, and took out the prop.... and I mean took it OUT. 2 missing blades and nubs left for the other 2. Nothing you can do to avoid that, it's just luck. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya?

Hey Matt,
Not sure but, I guess since you don't have any dams above you there is more logs to deal with on your lake. Do you find that to be true? I remember about half way between Fort Loudon Dam and Knoxville we ran into a 1/2 mile long section that was nothing but logs on the river last year. Talk about making you sit up and slow down fast!!!

Chuck,

I'm way ahead of you. Outriggers for the AlumaCruiser. I will simply incorporate outriggers with spare "logs" from the canbote rental fleet. That should do it.

While we are on the subject of logs, what the heck are you thinking? Now I find out that there are stumps, floaters, shoals, and crazy bass boat fisherman on the river/lakes. What the heck are you subjecting my pristine 230 to?????? My skeg doesn't even have a scratch on it.

Oh well, if I hit something, maybe I can slide the bill in under the govt's universal boatcare for everyone plan.

Sorry:huh:, Didn't I hear something about the admiral wanting a new SunDancer:grin:

She'll get nothing and like it!
Good thing she's not looking over my shoulder.

Hey Nolan it looks like we just got our trip paid for. What do you think the going blackmail rate would be for that comment:lol::smt043:lol:

Wesley,

How 'bout some moderation here! These two wisecrackers are way out of control and off topic. Give them a couple of more minutes and they'll be looking for a season's worth of gas.

Sorry, I guess we need to get back on topic. (Grin)

Ok, Has anybody given any more thought to things they would like to do?

How about the shirts, are we still interested in getting some. Paul did such a good job with the CSR Charleston shirt and I think he offered his expertize again. What do you need Paul? Maybe some logo ideas???

What is TN known for? What picture says TN? Ideas?
