That is an area we want to visit to consider for retirement (Austin Suburbs). I would love comments from those who live back there as to how the area really is. We don't mind cool Winters but no cold/snowy locations.

Couple of thoughts...

1) Looking at comps, this appears to be a smokin' deal.

2) last time I was at Lake Travis was in '12. Visited Hippie Hollow on a whim. That was certainly interesting.

It's a great area with lots to choose from if you're retired and don't have to get to work etc.
The commute from the outer newer developments can be rough. Lake Travis is a great place to boat if you can get past being land locked
