Thank you, Frank!
I'm looking for a wedge supply grille like you installed on the dash in the bridge.
If you have any information on the supplier of the grille could you pass it on.
It is a Sea Ray Part. See your dealer and reference the Bridge A/C option on the 2008 44DB.
john congrats on the boat
What mounts did you use on the speakers are in the rod holders?
What a beautiful boat and great pictures. Any concerns on the KVH antennae blocking the running light as your bow rises up on plane?
Thanks - not a problem. The light is actually high enough.
I actually custom made rod holder speaker mounts, but these are not them. The speakers are mounts on their own JL Audio fixed deck speaker mounts. The speakers can be lifted off after loosening 1 wingnut, then rotated 180 degrees to face inside the canvas when you're not at the beach. The wiring runs up the middle of the mounts. I attached the wiring through RCA connectors so I can remove and secure the speakers. The mounts are held on with 4 SS screws each, and all are sealed down including wire holes.
I have no idea how I missed this until now. Congratulations!!!. Great looking boat. Looking forward to reading you your trip logs.
John, the boat is incredible and I am very happy for you two.
Please keep posting photos of your modifications, discoveries and adventures. I’m enjoying living vicariously thru your postings. Oh, and it does not cost me anything!
John, keep the pics comming. Love it!
I'm in Alaska right now, but, a couple of days ago, we filled the 44 up with fuel and took her out for a test run. Ended up going to a restaurant inside a bayou for lunch. The draw bridge raised to let us in, then we anchored up and dinghy'd to the restaurant. An egret joined us for lunch. These are phone photos - ended up sneaking a couple in from our evening out last week.
John, if we could get our cat as confortable on the boat as yours we would be good. Looks awsome!
Thanks. We started her young. Now, we'll see what happens when we add our older outdoor cat.
Cat wandering up and down stairs, out to the SP, even on top of the dinghy. She watches the fish in the lights at night.
I found an old, fresh water leak on the back of my shower mixing valve. Tried to fix it through the access panel, but ended up taking medicine cabinet, 2 ceiling lights, A/C outlet out (30 screws total) to fix it - too much teflon tape which kept the fitting from being tightened down. The fix was to re-do without any tape. There were 2 years of signs of leaking water (fresh water).
Boat naming with a few close friends followed by a concert DVD on the bridge.
Dock party by me, Shelli, Tommy and Audrey (60Da), and keg from the marina manager, Ted.
Our FWebster from this forum is in there somewhere. Where's Frank?
We're in the swing of things now - just about time to kill this thread and move on to normal, seasonal operations.
Pic from underwater camera at idle:
Okay where is Frank? In which photo?
2nd to the last.
Okay, black shirt, dark blue or royal blue?
Black shirt, but no Freshman. That's it, Frank, you've been outed.
