Guys (and Gals), I've been keeping my mouth shut for weeks, if not months, on a variety of potential deals on our new boat. This last one has been in the works for 2 1/2 weeks. We closed today, finally. We bought a new, demo, 2008 Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with a white hull, black canvas, hard top, and full new boat and new engine warranties. This boat has never been titled.

The interior is exactly what we wanted. The boat has dual Raymarine E-120's with radar, and we are adding a KVH HD-7 satellite tv system with 4 receivers, Sea Lift extended swim platform lift, a separate, high output cockpit A/C system, 6 Lumishore color changing underwater LED lights, 1 Ocean LED underwater camera, and new bottom paint. The boat is from a dealer on the Great Lakes, so it has never seen salt water.

This was a very painful deal, but, it was well worth the effort in the long run. We traded the 340. We ran her full open today with 5/8 gas and 1/4 water and zero of our belongings. Man, did we have that thing loaded down! She passed a 3-hour, fine-tooth-comb survey by a Sea Ray Technician (former F-15 mechanic) with flying colors. He was upside down in the bilge, in and out at least 5 times.

My biggest news for everyone out there is:

BANK OF AMERICA! - 4.75% (after the tax break, that is a negative expense compared to inflation/cost of living increases).

This loan paid for every one of my options when compared to the other loans available. The ladies are extremely helpful and very diligent. Thank you Leigh and Connie.

We had to fly up to the great white North to survey the new boat. Pics are coming ASAP.

Wasn't going to post this because of the canvas abuse, but here's the master stateroom:

Nice looking boat. Looks very clean and shows no use at all. What part of MI is that coming from?

BTW, if you want the names of two shippers NOT to use, PM me.

congrats....best of luck. Have you decided how you're getting her home?

Wow, What a nice looking boat!! Congrats!!!

Very nice !! & Congrats on the new toy.

EDIT, Does every big boat have the steering wheel in the middle of the helm ??.

So much for "two"-footitis, huh, John? Looks beautiful! It must be hard to sleep, right now.

Thanks all. PM'd about shipping. Sleeping well, now. Yeah to the diesel club!

Absolutely beautiful looking boat John, I am sure it will give you many years of enjoyment.

And look at all the beautiful white sandy beaches in your photos.

Ice Fishing? Who the heck wants to catch ice and more importantly what do you use for bait and how do you cook it?:smt043:smt043

It's darn near impossible to cook it since it keeps putting the flame out:lol:
