2008 330DA A/C Question....please help

My friend has a 2008 330 and doesn't know where his A/C unit is located. He believes its in the engine compartment. Is that true..? I haven't been able to get on his boat to look or find a schematic to look myself. His air filter is in the overhead of the aft sette area on the port side, and his condensate discharge is under the deck in front of the stairs. But where is the A/C unit itself? I have a 340DA and mine is under the forward berth.
