Recently purchased 2008 280 DA but did not come with the supports for the v berth fill in cushions. Can anyone tell me what they look like?

Here is what the area the cushions go looks like.

Any help would be appreciated.

When we had a 260 we did have a support under the table but on our 280 the table might be thicker but we do not have a support on ours either. I do not know why they have the cutout on the frame

Paul under the forward berth you'll find a table top that fits exactly onto those wooden brackets. There is no support for under it. That hole is for using that same top as a table. You should have an aluminum pipe support that fits into that hole should you want to use it as a table. However, I found the top is too tight for people sitting around it - maybe for small kids. We just use it for the berth support.

Under the forward center part of the berth there is a wooden cover to the storage area under that berth. That cover is diamond in shape and does not fit the rectangular shaped area that requires support. Even if the covered did fit, that would leave a huge unsupported section beneath the foeward part of the berth

The prior owner had it custom-made table which he used both in the V berth and the cockpit and i am afraid he may have gotten rid of the original table that serve as the V birth support.

Best bet is to probably ask the prior owner what he did to convert the v-berth into a bed. Maybe he still has the original table in his basement. If not, you can make a support out of plywood (or similar). Simple.

+1 for this idea. That table/berth support would have been too nice to throw out. On the other hand it wouldn't take muck to make up a new table. Note that berth table was the same thickness as the salon table.

Are you saying you don't have a table like this under the forward berth?
