Does anybody know if a 2008 240 Sundeck can be retro-fitted with some newer features on the 2009-10 240 Sundecks, such as:

1) the handy plug-in on the 2009's for battery charging ?

2) side-opening anchor /swim ladder storage door (on bow) vs the original which opens front-to-back? Also...

Battery care: The boat has 20 hrs. I did not get a chance to charge (top off) the batteries before winterization. If I put a light charge on them in the next few weeks, do you think the batteries will bounce back OK, or did I shorten the life??

Thanks in advance!

Yes could add a charger or heck even add full shore power if you wish.
I know somebody on board was changing their anchor hatch.

I was working on the anchor hatch when we traded the 240 in. I thought it was very "doable", but would leave some holes in the support structure that would have needed filled for a nice install.

I added a smart charger to my 2008 220 SD w/ dual battery set-up. Not sure about the anchor locker hatch. Post some pics if you do this as I am very interested as well. I already have an area of gel coat to repair this spring, so filling a couple of holes would be no issue.

As far as your batt goes, I would say that as long as you didn't drain it down to nothing, you should be OK. After all, they are deep cycle batteries. That's what they are made for.
