Have you looked into SeaLift?

 

Cannot recommend ghs. They have never returned my calls or emails looking basic support. Very pricey but no follow up support.

 

@Njlarry that's strange as I've called GHS many times over the years and I've always reached someone or left a message and received a return call. They've also spent time on the phone with me trouble shooting issues. That being said I must say that I have nothing but good things to say about our GHS lift. As for Sealift, a friend recently purchased and installed a lift himself on a 450 DA it was still close to 30k with him installing himself. He had a slight issue where the bracket was racked which resulting in the platform being a few inches out of level once it reached the water line. They sent him a replacement at no charge. Scary thing happened to him as the Sealift uses the pop up chocks. When he first got his dinghy (600lb walkerbay) and went to strap it down it fell off upside down. The pop up chocks don't lock so it released him and the dingy right into the water. Luckily it was at the dock and we all helped him right it.

 

In that case I'd look into GHS. Many SRs have them and I don't recall too many issues.

As for support, I know that SeaLift is pretty good. Our friends switched to popup chocks and have no issues. I don't have first hand experience, but from my observation, GHS support wasn't a concern for many folks here. I have to say that I really like their locking system to keep the platform steady in place. It's super important in rough seas.

Sealift. They did OEM for SR at one point. We have one on our Meridian and it was the best investment I’ve ever made.

 

I have the GHS on my 07 44DB and works great and recently had to contact GHS for questions and Rick returned my call and answered all my questions

 

That probably depends on where you had it installed, and who installed it. I know they have a crew (I’m local to Sealift and said crew) that travels to install them, but I also know that they have yards that install them also.

It’s probably worth a call to Stephen to find out. I feel their system is simpler (read: superior) with only one actuator; and the patented pop-up chocks are a thing of beauty.

 

GHS is very good to deal with. I have found that you need to have done a little investigation prior to calling them. If they can talk to you and you have a general idea what they are saying, they are more than willing to stay on the phone as long as it takes to solve the issue. Excellent folks to deal with. I was manufacturing a removal version of the GHS chocks for a while. I was buying a lot of product from them and they were more than willing to ship things out pronto, over and over.
