Hello All

I am new to the forum as of this morning. We just put a deposit in on a 2007 360 Sedan Bridge over in the Georgian Bay area and plan on driving the boat back to our dock in Sturgeon Bay, Wi some time late this May. The boat is equipped with the Raymarine E120 with radar, GPS, etc. , Raymarine autopilot, and Mercury Smart Craft. Is there any 360 Sedan Bridge owners out there (Preferably with the gasoline engines) that can give any tips? Also, does anyone have any input on what gas mileage to expect at different RPM settings? Crossing 3 large bodies of water makes me want to know everything I can to prevent any incidents.

Thanks!
Zach

you'll do about .5 mpg unless you go trawler speed - there is a 36 sedan bridge thread with lots of great info - do a search - sounds like the boat is well equipped, assuming you are a seasoned boater, and plan your fuel stops, it should be a great trip - Good luck and congrats on the new to you boat!

As you see I've owned a 36 DB. Equipped with the 8.1's. The boat was burning 40 GPH and making 18 mph. Not a very economical way to travel. I tried "trawler speed" and to conserve fuel you need to travel around 7-8 mph. Which makes for a very long day.
plan your fuel stops very carefully if your crossing large bodies of water. I moved my boat from Boston to Long Island and filled it 2-1/2 times to get home. They are big blocks that love to eat gas. Not looking to bring you down but after 1 season the new owner has her up for sale again..
good luck and congrats on the new boat.

If you run around 1750 rpms you would get around 8 or 9 mph. I found that is a great power setting for a long trip. I can't remember what the fuel flows are but its will give you the best range. You won't set any speed records but it's a great way to take your time and get to know the boat.

We had a 360Da with 8.1's and I have spent time on NSN's 360 DB. Any of these boats pushing 40 ft are fuel pigs with gas engines, but overall I think they are fantastic boats with nice interior layouts. The 8.1 is a very reliable engine.

I am thinking about purchasing a 2009 36 SB. Can anyone tell me the top speed, and best cruising speed ?

Equipped with gas 8.1

Will this boat go 30 mph WOT and cruise at 25 mph ????
