Boating season is right around the corner. Anyone looking for a nice used Sea Ray will be impressed with this boat!

You might want to add some pics here to spark some interest. Or make a listing with one of the online services.

Thanks guys for trying to help. However, there is a very small market of potential buyers for this size of boat. I’m trying to eliminate tire kickers. Real buyers will take the time to contact me. Majority of people on this forum are familiar with Sea Ray boats.

IMO, you are approaching the sale from the wrong angle. Sea Rays are volume models and not that exclusive; buyers have the power. If you believe there is a very small market for your boat you should be doing everything possible to get info in front of potential buyers. Especially for a Sea Ray specific-site, you should want to post photos of the boat and links to the listing. People here are familiar in general, but perhaps not YOUR model and the condition of YOUR boat.

In trying to make buyers guess which listing is yours, you only make them wade look for similar listings, ie your competitors. Why would you not want them to zero in on YOUR listing? Buying a boat is an intimidating process full of uncertainty. A seller should want make it as easy as possible for potential buyers. There are enough other boats out there that a potential buyer will simply move on to work with a seller that isn't being difficult.

I was recently in the market for the size of boat you're selling, as well as selling my old boat. If I came across your post I would assume that you're not really interested in selling and move on. The equivalent of a Craigslist "I know what I've got - no lowballing." There's nothing there to entice any interest or encourage a potential buyer. From a buyer's perspective you're already being difficult this early in the game, why would I want to bother with your boat?

It's your boat; you do what you want. I'll observe that it's still on the market a year after your initial post.

+1. My first thought when reading the above exchange was also "guess he doesn't really want to sell his boat". :)

Sea Ray 340's are bought and sold every day. If you don't want to deal with tire kickers and answering a bunch of questions you should strongly consider engaging a broker. Shoot, I actually enjoyed every chance I had to brag about the condition of my 340 as I was selling it. I loved that boat...and it showed.

For what it's worth there are (17) 2007 Sea Ray 340's for sale on Boattrader right now. The OP's pricing isn't outrageous, but there are 8 priced lower than him. Mostly salt water boats, of course. The OP's listing should be docked by $10k for using a couple of blurry photos, however :):)

340DA of that time frame is probably one of the most popular boats of the time period. I would think this would be considered a fairly high volume when it comes to SR.

Excellent boat, typical quick sale cycle. Been a few years ago when I sold mine. Decided to place it with a broker who told me he had two candidates interested. Accepted an offer 4 days later and closed the following week.

+1 on footballfan. We looked for over year and a half to find our 340. Clean and well maintained are hard to come by.

I am guessing that was a good investment if you bought it new in that recession?
