I am curious about one thing....how long is the V birth bed? How tall are you and how do you fit on it? We looked at an '05 340 and the bed looked almost the same.

Thanks,
Bennett

Bennett - We are going to the boat in about an hour. I will measure for you. I myself am 5-10 and I am comfortable on the bed. Thanks, Bobby

I'm in the process of buying a 2003 320, and the V berth is fine for me. I'm 6 feet tall. And my feet do not hang over the edge.

My husband is 6' 2" and his feet don't hang over the end but it's also a function of how high you like the pillows too. He has his pillows as high as possible.

Our Adm. is correct. I have the 320, and have a dock friend who has the 340.
I am 6ft. and with a little getting use to it,....we sleep fine in the 320.
340 is more like a King/ 320 is more like a Queen size bed,.....and a little shorter.

So officially, at the longest / tallest spot on the mattress, it is 72". At its widest, it is 60". I hope that helps.

I am 6'2" and fit fine. My feet are at the end. But sleep better on the boat than at home. This is my 9th season with our 320.

Just to reinforce, I am 6"1" and 240 lbs and the 320 works just fine (with a memory foam mattress). I would not want to spend two weeks on it but otherwise, very comfortable.

Interesting camera angle - I would bet that for those that are not familiar with the two models they would pick the wrong one as the 340

here's a pic of my 340 next to a 320....

There is no comparison between the berth on a 320 versus 340, but I don't want to hijack his classified ad.

Have no idea:) Attempting to answer post #2 where he thought they were the same.

In all fairness, that is not an apples to apples comparison photo. The 340 in the pic is a pre-late 03 model. Late 03 gains about a foot of length and 6" of beam. At 5'10" my feet hang slightly off the end of my late 03 340 bed. Perhaps I need to examine my sleeping habits closer.

Many thanks for the measurements. From just eyeballing, the 340 birth must be shorter than the 320.

Thanks again,
Bennett

You got that backwards.

I did not get on the V birth of the 340 we looked at, but I swear is seemed to me the bed was no more than 4' long. Maybe it had a bunch of pillows up at the head that made it appear very short. This is just one of my "quirks" as the admiral and I talk about moving up one day. I am 6'3". We can fit in a full sized bed, but it is not what I want. Our V birth is just long enough on the starboard side for me, but shoulder room up front is precious...The 340 just looked incredibly short...I will have to give her another look.

Again, many thanks and your 320 is a beautiful boat.

Bennett
