I just took delivery of a new to me 2007 48 sundancer yesterday which made it's way up from Maryland to Long Island. I was wondering how the waste tank monitoring worked in the boat? The control panel is lit up power in red but the empty, 1/4, half, ect. isn't lit up at all. The bathrooms themselves are lit up ok to flush? What is the significance of the ok to flush vs the panel on the wall? How do I get the panel to light up properly? Unfortunately I guess this was missed during the survey of the boat.

It's Empty, HALF, Full. If your sensors work they will light up, if the don't you will continue to see just Power. In the center of your engine room is a white plastic tank with a large 5 inch cap. On the cap should be 3 wires and probes/tubes. If you discount the wires and unscrew the cap and pull the cap out you will see the 3 floats which activate the display, EMPTY, HALF, FULL. The longest one is the EMPTY, middle is HALF and the shortest is FULL. Most likely they are sticking and need a good cleaning. Before you go through this trouble you might just be between floats. The EMPTY lights up when the float is down. As soon as you start to use the toilets the EMPTY will disappear and you will only see the POWER light up until you get to a Half tank.

Thanks for you help Camella i'm sure i'll have many more questions after going through the boat this weekend
