I wanted to buy the new Yamaha Gp1800 waverunner which weighs 760lbs. Would I be ok with this on the hydraulic lift?

The lift is rated for 1,200lbs but the transom is rated for 800lbs. I am going off memory so I could be wrong.

If you call SeaRay customer service they can tell you the exact rating for your transom. Have your Hull ID ready when you call.

Personally I would keep the weight to around 500 lbs.

Good luck!

Any other input on this. We are in the market for a 48 sundancer or 47 sedan bridge

I carry a 11ft center console tender with a 30hp motor and it weighs 700+ lbs. No issues.

The sticker on ours says 363kg which is 800lbs. I don't think it would be wise to push it.

That gap you have your shore power cord in, between the transom and the swim platform, it should not be wide enough for the cord to fall through. My guess is that your transom is bowing under that static load. Out at sea, the load is no longer static. The force on the platform is multiplied by the vertical action of the boat. With the tender off the platform, see if the gap narrows. My tender and engine were 200# combined and the gap would squeeze a 1/2" dock line to the point that you could not remove it without lowering the platform. If the transom capacity is 800# and already flexing under that static load and a 200# person stands on the platform, you are exceeding the capacity of the transom at rest.

The previous owner of my boat, a mechanic, recognized the flexing of the transom on several 48's and fabricated large backing plates for the lift and installed powder coated steel bracing to stabilize the transom.

The platform is adjustable from the underneath which allows you to move it front to back. The gap is the same regardless if the dinghy is on or off. When I had a hydraulic lift installed on my 420DA I had the same gap to prevent any issues with lines or power cord when raising the platform.
