Finally last weekend on saturday my kids all came up and we were able to get the new 07 sea ray out for a ride and loved it spent the day at put in bay and rode around. After we got back to the dock we were exploring all the great features of the boat and the kids tried the I-pod in the jack to get the radio to play off i-pod. It did not work. My son in law is a computer engineer and fluent with electronic stuff. He researched on sea ray club site and found that 07 wiring are hooked up wrong and found how to make the right connections. I said lets do it so we proceeded to remove the stereo. Thats when the trouble started. The radio leads were as tight as piano strings we could not budge it so we scraped the plan after we nudged on it and it would not move. We put the screws back in and it did not work. After we remove the breaker panel and tore as much of the area apart as we could we found the red lead was pulled out of the wiring harness with 5 possible places to go back in. We stated about 7 and now its 10;30. The next morning we went to marine max they were egar to help but would have to order new harness. Then we were at West Marine and up comes a young man to help us and i was a little frustrated from all the problems any way before we got there. I had thought to myself of all the people in here im stuck with this kid. So to be polite I explained my problem knowing he was not going to be able to help us. He said to my surprise I know exactly what you need and started getting new stereo boxes out and digging out wiring harness and found the exact one and made a diagram of it and showed us how to put the wire back in and if that did not work he would have us a new on in 2 days. He could not have been more help. We took his diagram back and it worked perfectly and we were listening to i-pod 1 hr later. Shame on me for judging the kid at west marine. Moral of the story if you need to take you stereo out to change the wires that are wrong from the factory on 07 take the breaker panel out you can barely do it from there but you can its not fun but don't nudge on the radio it won't move.
