2007 310 idle issue

Tried the search option

I have a 2007 310 with the 5.7’s/ vdrives

Port motor idles around 820 versus the starboard around 650. How do I go about adjustment idle?

Is this a DTS motor with the electronic throttle body or do you have a mechanical throttle body with an IAC valve?

This is probably not DTS... will be like mine with separate mechanical throttle and gear controls. Mine is also multi-port fuel injection.

That said, I don't know how you would adjust the idle... I assume the computer controls the idle. Might be a sensor that could be identified with a diagnostic computer.

Post the engine serial number. That will identify what you are working with.

If it’s a DTS throttle body, you won’t see any traditional throttle cables. Pretty much the only thing you can do for that is to clean any carbon from the throttle plate and throttle body.

For a mechanical throttle body, clean the carbon too but also check to see if the IAC filter is degrading and getting sucked into the port for the IAC valve.

Awesome, I was googling around, on the engines the IAC is what area of the motor?

There's no idle adjustment most likely the IAC is bad. If you're not sure pay a mechanic because you can make it worse.
