Everyone with a 2006/2007 185 sport, what did you pay out the door?

You do realize the OTD price on a boat will vary widely based on.

1. Location
2. Dealer
3. Options
4. Extended Warranties.
5. Negotiating skills of the buyer

My OTD price at a Florida Marine Max was $18,800.00. (2007 185 Sport w/ trailer, Bimini, covers & ski tow mirror)

We got a 2006 185 sport with a 4.3 L . - $20,153.00
Galvanized Trailer with brakes - $1,500.00
Tax and Prep - $947.09
Extended warrenty (4 year extension so 6 yrs) - $1,060.00 (probably should have passed on this and bought directly from Mercrusier at later date)

Total out the door price - $23,660.09

Interest rate of 7.75% (12 yrs , $500 down)

I don't know if that will do you any good but there it is. I am sure there are others that got a better deal than that but we were new to boats and after sitting in the boat I was walking out with it one way or another. Hope it helps...

I think I got a good deal! 2007 perl white, $21940.25 OTD, 185 v4 4.3L AL 190HP, plus 4 life jackets, dock rope, 2 bumpers, anchor package, and 2 free classes... boater safety & maintenance. 7.4 APR, $0 down

I think it's been eluded to but it keeps coming up and is kind of odd/strange. :smt001

Down payments and interest rates have nothing to do with how much a boat cost. Those things are specific to each person and their situation. One guy gets 7.9% and the next gets 5.9% and yet another gets 11.9% and the reasons have nothing to do with the boat or it's sales price. Down payments either. It's all to do with personal financial situations and goals/preferences. Add-ons like warranties shouldn't be mixed up in it either.

Complicating and cluttering a simple question about the sales price of a boat won't be much good to one who's asking. The actual sales price is going to be complex enough from market to market.

Seeing all that other stuff mixed in with a discussion about sales price, makes me thinks someones been talking to a salesman who's job was to keep numbers as vague and confusing as possible so the shells could be arranged in their favor. Same deal with car sales, you gotta keep each piece separate and only mix and blend what "you" need to for negotiation purposes. They don't like it when you control the deal but he who controls, benefits.

If I were to try to figure out what a 2007 185 would sell for, I'm sure I'd get close but not after going through each post with a calculator to see if I could even figure it out from there.

We gave 18,500 otd for our 2007 185 sport. We got the 3rd bow seat, and the upgraded stereo with remote at the helm. we bought the extra warreny and I think with that added we financed around 20K. Ours has the 3.0, but the 4.3 was only like 1K more.

No, it was only 1K at the boat show. They were having a special on the 4.3. We opted for fuel economy over the extra 6 or 7 hp. We spend most of the time in the cove anyways.

6 or 7 hp :smt017 190-135? According to Searay's website there is almost $3,000 difference. If you take 25% off both boats which is what most people get (approx) you are looking at a difference of $2,175. Any deal better than that would be a selling point for the 4.3, in my opinion. According to what you are saying they had a deal on the 4.3 but not the same type of deal on the 3.0?

Sorry, I meant mph, not hp. Really if we ski or wake boarded, the 4.3 would have been a no brainer, but we did not buy the boat for speed. If we wanted speed, we would not have bought the 4.3 either. I would have bought a different boat all together.
