2006 Sea Ray Select Price Question

I'm buying a 2006 Sea Ray Select in 7 days. I think I've found a nice deal can anyone confirm or deny?
Here are the specs. 2006 Sea Ray 200 Select 45hrs has an aftermarket ski rack and speakers, dual axle shorelander trailer, boat cover....one drawback is it only has the 4.3L engine.

Any comments or suggestions....from my research it appears a very nice deal????

P.S. This is my 2nd post and thanks for all the replies on my 1st post to this message board area.

It's a nice boat. I just looked at the specs for the 200 Sel on Sea Ray's website and I have to say, I believe the 4.3L is too small for that boat. The 200 Sel is 3550lbs compared to 2400lbs for my 185. The 4.3L is more than adequate for the 185 but I feel the same engine will be overburdened by the extra 850lbs on the 200 Sel.

Have you taken the boat for a sea trial? When you do, make sure the boat is loaded down with all the gear and persons you would normally have on board.

Only you can decide if a 4.3L is enough power. My guess is 4.3L will not be. Maybe that is why it's such a good deal.

I had a 2004 Sea Ray 200 Sport with the 4.3L 190HP Alpha 1. With 2 adults and 4 kids under the age of 6 (at the time), the 4.3L was adequate. However, any time we added 2 adults or more, we'd have issues getting on plane. After getting on plane, however, the 4.3L again seemed adequate.

The 200 Sport was only 3150 lbs, though. You're looking at an additional 400 lbs just in dry weight on the 200 Select.

Honestly, I'd shoot for a bigger engine, unless your crew/load will be light most of the time.
