Been putting together a 2006 185 Sport for about a year and it's just about ready for a trial run but the twin rear lower seat cushions don't seem quite right. All the upholstery has been redone and it looks great but it seems like the twin cushions that make up the bench seat just sit on the bench and seem to slide around pretty easily. Does anyone else have a similar boat and like to hear if their cushions are fastened down or if that's how it's designed. Just seems like they should be restrained since they move around pretty easily. Thanks!

They used Velcro from Sea Ray. I bought a roll from Lowes and replaced mine. BTW Mine cushions need repair. How did the color match come out ?? Pics if you can
Thanks

I did the seats myself, had no real upholstery experience but since my beater truck needed upholstery work thought I would give it a try. Bought a knock off imitiation of a sailrite machine and bought the marine vinyl whenever my wife would get a 60 percent off coupon, that put it at about 8 bucks a yard. I did get the good thread from sailrite. Since all the seats were trash I had nothing to lose. Is it perfect, heck no, but I think it turned out okay. I had a buddy who does embroidery work on the side make the graphics for the pilot and passenger seat. I also recovered the two dash pads in black vinyl. Put some pictures below.

Think you can send me a picture of where your Velcro is attached on those bench seats.

It looks killer !! How did you put the Sport back on the seats ?? Great job..

Enjoy,

Thanks, I have a friend who used to run an embroidery shop outside the base and I he still does it on the side in his garage. I made him a JPEG of the sport insignia with the size and he put it on the vinyl before I cut and sewed it together, a little nerve racking since I only had one shot to get it right. Again, there are some places I wish were better, but big improvement over the way it was when I got the boat. Had to do the same with the Sport decal on the front of the boat, had severed dock rash. Since ou can't buy them anywhere my Daughter is good with graphics and made a new graphic and the local sign shop was able to knock it out. Took off the top stripes, they were beyond help. Hard to find anything for these older boats.

Seats do attach with a velcro strip the runs along the bottom front edge of the seat. I believe it you got the optional underseat coolers, then there was some kind of two way piano hinge that allowed the seat to pivot out and up, providing access to the cooler bins.
