I have a waeco Coolmatic RSD-115 it seems to be running but not cooling at all. I'm thinking the compressor is bad. Any other ideas or suggestions please.

I remember when I was looking at 390/40 DAs, several of the boats had new refrigerators. More so the ones that we're not being used. I try to keep the fridge and freezer on at all times. If just looking to replace the compressor, check with RV parts suppliers as well as the manufacturer. It would have to be cheaper than replacing the whole unit. They sure are proud of those little units.

Good luck with this.

I have a dead Coolmatic freezer that I'm still trying to find a solution for. I've had independent shops look at it and searched endlessly for a unit that would fit into the same opening and semi-match the refrigerator next to it. Nada! We have a freezer on the dock so I'm just using the boat's freezer to hold our bottled water supply. Even though I don't really need it I'd like to eventually find a replacement for it.

you also may want to have it recharged with Freon...had that done in my old 38 and it worked for a season until we found a pin hole leak in the tubing, which once repaired we got another season out of the norcold...

So I got the dealer to come and look at the fridge. Whatever you do, do not chip ice off the back cooling panel. My wife was doing her best to defrost. One small pin prick and it's toast. New replacement is only $1300 plus labor. Ugh! Next time she'll let it defrost naturally

Were you able to find a matching unit? If so, please let me have your dealers contact info. Thanks.

I wonder if the doors might interchange. You might can get the replacement unit and swap out your current door. That will keep it consistent. If that won't work I'm sure you can match the wood and have a Formica skin made for the new freezer. The newer stainless doors remind me of restaurant kitchens

So I contacted Coastal Marine Services (Dometic Distributor), in Savannah, GA. Found them on line. They pointed me to the dealer here in north Georgia. The original Coolomatic is no longer available. I will be replaced with a new unit and the dealer assures me it will look just like the old one. The hole will need to be cut slightly on the top. He has the front Cherry wood material in a roll and will cut that to fit. Should be just like new....$1800.00 later.

$1800.00 later.

HOLY MOLY! :smt119

Crazy boat prices. Whacha gunna do. I'll probably end up have another $300 in freight added to mine.

Please keep us posted as to how well it fit in and how it looked next to your freezer. Also, could you post the contact info to your dealer? Thanks.

HOLY MOLY! :smt119

My wife and I are on vacation in Ireland and she keeps saying the same thing....Holy Moly. I asked her what a Moly was! She didn't know....any insights?

It means I didn't use another 4 letter word that would've got me kicked off the site!

Not a clue

Actually, you were correct in your usage without knowing it. Apparently it's used to avoid saying sh!t, so Holy Moly is just a nice way of saying Holy Sh!t without getting penalized for it. Google is a wonderful thing.

Can't help with the refrigerator details but for the freezer I bought a Dometic Coolmatic CRX-65 with black frame and black flush-mount trim. It's almost a dead-ringer for the original unit. Can be used as a frig, freezer or combination. You may reach out to them to see if they make the same model in the refrigerator size.

So i got dirty today and was SHOCKED to find out the refrigerator is a remote mount. Meaning the compressor is not part of the refrigerator . its mounted separately. Man does that complicate the hell out things when u replace it. In my case the condenser coil and cooling fan were completely covered in dust. Cleaned them up and I'm back in business.

Was the freezer a one piece unit or was the compressor separate ? Also SS front panel or u were able to reuse the old fake wood panel ?
