I looked at the 2006 340 Sundancer over the weekend. It is a bank repo, it is 2006 340 DA, with 100 hours on the engines, Horizon 8.1 L. It is in fairly good condition. I think it has been in Salt Water but dealer won't say that for sure. I saw some marks on hardware knobs of the cabinets inside the cabin (like you see from corrosion due to exposure to salt). There are some recalls per dealer that Sea Ray will take care of and claims there is an extended warranty on the boat. Any suggestions, things I should look out for. If it has extended warranty any use of getting survey done? Are you aware of any known problems with this model year?

ALWAYS get a survey done. Warranty's expire and if latent defects are not discovered in time you are out of luck.

Got to love the bank repo's. I bought a 2000 340DA a few years ago. Great deal. I was able to negotiate with the bank and their representative to get all minor issues fixed, including having the risers and manifolds changed. i would follow the advice of others and have the boat surveyed and then use punch list to adddress with bank or representative. This is a great market for repo's that are in really good condition, but just need to be polished. Best of luck with the endeavor.:smt038
