2006 195 Sport w/ 4.3MPFI Prop Questoion

Anyone out there with this set up? I am curious to what prop you are running. Mine had the 19p Stainless fromt he factory.

My performance problems from this summer were that it planned at too high of speed. To remedy this, I am planning on running the Smart tabs.

My boating group does a lot of tubing with the kids, and we don't like having to pull them at high speeds.

Figuring that the boat ill get on plane and take off easier with the tabs, I was thinking of going to a 20 or 21p prop. The punch out of the whole right now is more than enough, but I would like to be able to step up the pitch to save a bit more fuel when running aroun the lake at 25-30mph.

My 200 Sundeck with 4.3MPI has stainless 17P from the factory.
Dry wieght of the boat is about 3500# probably a bit heavier than you.
Have you thought about a 4 blade prop?

I have, but I think I have more than enough bite at take off now.

I could couple that 4 blade, with the trim tabs, and go to a 21.

My key idea is to keep the quick acceleration I hav enow by getting on plane quicker, but have lower RPMs when cruising the lake, say at 25-30mph
