What is the Taylor Made part number for your windshield? It should be on the metal frame by either the drivers or passengers seat. T-xxxxxxxxx?

Just trying to figure out why my replacement windshield has a different part number than the original.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the info.

My original was T-16xxxx. The replacement is T-188xxxx.

The repairs for this little mishap of mine cost nearly 25% of a new boat after all the gelcoat work and parts, supplys, labor etc. What I ended up with is not what I started with.

The new windshield is not installed evenly and/or not the same size as the original. The port side where the metal meets the gelcoat, on the aft end there is a 1/4 inch gap the dealer said he couldn't close.

They also installed the new bimini hardware 2 inches too far aft on the top of the windshield frame so the cover holes (where the binini is supposed to come through) are all bunched up so only 1/2 of the velcro is usable.

I know I'm a perfectionist when it comes to the details but for the price I'm paying, I don't think these details should be overlooked.

I'll see what they have to say on monday.

don't pay until you completely satisfied
there is no way that gap can not be closed
maybe somebody f-up and ordered a wrong part for your boat
looks like you a retail customer for them
if they cant repair - sue them and problem going to be resolved quickly.
FL headquarters don't like lawsuits:)

Low bridge hooked the stowed bimini and ripped it off... including the top frame rail for the windshield. Windshields are only sold as complete units (glass and frame) at the bargain price of +/- $2000.
