Talking about electronics what brand and model do people use on their Searay's? Looking for radar, gps/FF

That depends on what you need it for and how much you're willing to pay for it.

I was thinking a C120 with a 2kw radome was about 3.5k. Without much work, I found one that has a C120, a fishfinder, and a dome.

I think lowrance and garmin now offer networked kits as well, and may not be as pricey as raymarine.

I think the company that does MM's work is called High Seas (either Technologies or Electronics). You can get MM to get it done as part of the purchase, and roll into your finance.

They also have used TropicaMarine in the past. Tropica has a bunch of stuff on ebay, and is also an installer as well. In the past, they were a little more pricey than High Seas, but that may have changed now.

My previous boat had 3 tv's, the only time we ever watched it was with a dvd player. Tv reception, with the stock Glomex antenna, sucks, and is hardly worth the trouble of even turning it on. If you cable at a marina, that's different. I wouldn't sweat out the tv a whole lot.

The gen and a/c is a must have, and a macerator with seacock is a very-nice-to-have (you can run 9 miles out and pump your holding tank, as opposed to doing the suck-out routine at a marina). Not a must-have, but a very-nice-to-have.

Yes the genset is a must with the a/c. The electronics I can add, but would be nice if I didn't have too. The TV I would use just like you say with the DVD player for our daughter and friend.
