Looking for information on a replacement refrigerator for my 2005 260 Sundancer. Has a Norcold DE0051. The Norcold recommended NR751 replacement will not fit as case is higher and the sink interferes. Can anyone recommend a replacement that fits?

Can you enlarge the opening on the bottom or remove the feet??
How much larger is it?

I know I had to enlarge the opening when I replaced the Norcold on my 2003 260DA but it was a slightly different configuration as mine was under the stove.

I tried removing the feet from the 751 but it was still too high. I can't cut the opening down any lower as it is only a very small (1/2") above the deck in that area as there is a stepup there to the aft cabin.

Can you make room under the sink by putting in a different drain? Maybe something low profile like the 95 degree drain from ambassador marine.

Unfortunately it is the bowl of the sink that interferes. The sink is cast into the countertop and can't be moved. The only answer is with a lower case on the refrigerator. There is a Nova Kool model that steps down in the back that may work. I have to get some measurements.
Thanks for the idea.

For anyone who has the need to replace the Norcold DE0051 refrigerator in their DA260 as I did,
I have found the replacement that is perfect. After a month or more of research I learned that the Norcold DE0051 I was trying to replace was actually made in Japan by Sawafuji. I also learned that the same Sawafuji unit was made for Engel in Australia. Engel has an office in Florida and had their SR70F-U1 in stock. Upon receipt of the unit (purchased thru West Marine) I was pleased to learn that it was the EXACT same item. It easily connected with the same AC& DC power cords and mounted to the cabinet with the EXACT same screw hole locations. it shouldn't have to be this hard to find a replacement but I'm sure glad I did so I could avoid modifying the cabinet.

You just saved me a ton of work with this gem. My NorCold just died this weekend.
