2004 Sundeck Garmin Install wiring help

Hello All
I am trying to hook up the Garmin Red and Black Wires. I read that there is an accessory wire coming off the fuse box under the helm. I located Two red/violet wires that don't seem to be hooked up to anything. If I connect it to one of these then where do I ground the black wire?

In general, the black, or ground wire can be connected pretty much anywhere else you see a black wire connected. Look at the fuse block under the console. Mine has several unused grounding lugs available, yours probably does too. Just crimp a female spade connector onto the black wire and plug it into one of the unused ground connections on the fuse block.

Stoker, if your Sundeck has the EIM module instead of the fuse block, there should be an empty red accessory wire coming out of the box that is zip tied to the harness. That wire works with the empty accessory fuse slot in the EIM. It was noted in my 2003 manual, but I didn’t find it until I looked 3 times. Some of the red/violet wires are hooked to switches and may not be powered all the time.
