So when i put my 34 dancer away for the winter I leave the batteries on board and shut them off. with the eng hatch closed. if they were to go dead over the winter. how would i get the hatch open if the batteries were to die. other then removing the pit pins on the actuater ? cause that would be a pain

... Or you could just plug in the shore power and turn on the AC converter (charger) to give some charge to the batteries as long as they are not completely dead and not taking a charge at all. They may not start the engines but probably will open the hatch.

So this week I can verify (at least on a 2006) that the hatch lift cylinders have no issues once the batteries are completely disconnected. I plugged in a shore power cord and turned on the the a/c inverter(or converter - can’t remember what it says) rocker in the main panel. Then I hit the dc power rocker. This allowed the dash to have power and using the hatch switches there it works just fine. I can power all my cockpit and bilge lighting while I work on the boat.

Is there any place to buy a replacement for the acculift hatch lift mechanisms on the Searay 340?
