The fuel guage sits at 1/4 full when the tank is full so i suspect the in tank fuel level sending unit is at fault. Does anyone know the best way to access it? I removed the potable water tank in the engine compartment that sits on top of the fuel tank but it appears that the sending unit resides forward of the engine bay forward bulkhead. Where is the best place to get a service manual? Thx

First of all welcome to the forum.
You can get manuals from here

On my 260DA the fuel level sensor is accessible from the mid berth. Pull back the mattress and there will be an access plate in the floor for it.

Where about's on Vancouver island are you? I grew up in Comox and go back to the island every year for my annual 3 week boat trip.

Yes you are correct. I thought about it after sending the help message and sure enough there is a service portal in about the centre of the rear berth. I ordered the replacement from WEMUSA the OEM for $67 USD after shipping etc. which was significantly less the West Marine.

I live in Langford the BEST of Greater Victoria's 13 municipalities.

Ha, my sister lives in Langford, on Selwyn, been there for many years. We grew up in Cordova Bay. Langford's definitely done a 180 since the 60's.
