2003 Sea Ray Sundancer 320DA

GLWS... What did I start!! You will love the 400 DB. Diesels? I'll be scanning the 400 DB thread for pics. I still want a DB someday, but right now very happy with the 410. Cruising the Bay is a different experience with an extra 10,000 lbs of displacement!!

Take Care!!

You know what? This IS your fault! You were the one that got me started on Sea Rays. You and this damn forum. Guess I should thank you all!

And yeah, we are thrilled about the sedan bridge. It’s definitely perfect for our boating lifestyle and space wants/needs. And yes, twin Cummins 450s. I’m not posting any pics until the deal is done. I’ll rename a boat. I’ll eat bananas on my boats. But i don’t want to jinx the deal. Lol.

Now... know anyone who wants a fantastic 320DA?

We’ve had good showing activity, given that she’s been wrapped. The wrap is now off and she’s being detailed this week. She splashes on Friday and will be available for in-water showings. Now is the time to jump on a great boat and a great deal so you can enjoy the entire boating season!

Im so glad you posted on here about your boat. Im planning to make the drive from Ohio to see it this weekend! Look forward to making an offer :)

That's great! As objectively as I can be, she's and excellent boat. Well worth the drive. I am confident you will like what you see when you arrive. Drive safely!

Congrats! I see you added an NSS9, and an Airmar P79, where did you install the transducer, in the same spot the old transducer was, or in a brand new hole through the hull? I’m trying to figure out what transducer to use on my 320...

Sorry, the p79 is in hull, not through! So where did you locate it to get a good signal? That might be something I try...

Open the hatch and look straight down. As close to the center keel stringer as possible. But not where you d step on it standing in the bilge It was the flattest part of the hull. Simply smoothed it down and installed.

Thanks, that is a miserable location, in that I have a really hard time getting down there to access the sea cocks and anything close to the hull. The v-drives take up so much room.

It’s actually the most accessible area down there. Plus, it’s ahead of the props, which is important. But I won’t lie, there were some strange contortions needed to reach down to sand down the area a bit and install in and seal it.

As for the seacocks, get a piece of PVC pipe to slip over the handle. About 18” to 2’ long. You have to cut it down a bit because it will hit other engine pieces as you work the seacocks, but the extra length makes accessing the seacocks a lot easier. And it also gives you a little extra leverage for when they get uncooperative.

It is a b@#ch to get to and tighten for sure.
