2003 340 SDA / 8.1 Mercs w/ Aluminum riser and or manifold

I own a 2003 340 Sundancer with 280 hours, engines run great no problems. I understand Merc switched from aluminum to cast iron riser and or manifold in '04 or '05, I have never removed for inspection nor is their any sign of leakage on the outside, any suggestions, should I leave the aluminum parts alone, until the end of the season, or longer? I am not sure if I should be concerned???

What type of water are you in? Salt or freshwater?

Salt water since the boat is new 2003.
