Hello fellow searians,
I just closed the deal on a 2003 280 with 4.3 and gen, the boat was sitting for 3 to 4 years, in slip ,had regular diver cleaning ,the broker pulled it and replaced bellows and serviced outdrives, drained gas, replace all 3 batteries, and ignitions, because owner lost keys, engine hours =92, - mechanical survey was good compressions , recommend new risers, 1 temp gage not reading correctly, shift cable adjustment,trim tab hose replacements, ON sea trials boat ran good sounded good and engines synced and ran fine, audible alarm went off for 3 sec at first wot.:wow: but not again. I have my mobile mechanic to help me out but I think previous owners experience always prevails, So anyone have a suggested checklist of maintenance items to replace like fuel filter, oil ,plugs, etc?? I tested generator and runs great, and water pumps for toilet and sinks good. Pretty excited to pickup boat next week but have to drive it 20 miles back home:huh: I need some fender holders but dont know where to get them, and top arch canvas thanks for the input
