Cabin door is very hard to open. i can't see any way to fix. Anybody have this problem and know fix?

Anyone have a source for these parts. I'm dealing with the same issue.

Have you tried thoroughly cleaning both the top and bottom tracks and rollers? You can get to the starboard end of the tracks by removing the helm panels — knee and dashboard. Clean thoroughly and lube with silicone spray.

the door is heavy, though, and will always take some effort to slide.

New track's and roller's/truck's. Most likely the helm will need to be removed.
i watched the u-tube video on how to remove the helm.
Was very helpful. Should be no problem. Plenty of replacement track parts available. thanks

Have the same boat and same problem.

99% of my difficulties are minimized/eliminated by lifting UP slightly on handle as I'm moving door in either direction.

Guess I should edit this to reflect that unlike OP, I don’t consider mine “very hard to open”. More like lift up on handle while sliding and no problem. DON’T lift up and you’ll have a problem.

I've done mine a few times in the 20 years I've owned it. It's not a terrible job since my door does not slide under the helm. But I'm always worried about the big awkward heavy doors being damaged during removal or re-install. Also, on mine it takes some finesse shimming to get it smooth. And on mine, I have found that absolutely no lubricant of any kind is best.

Finally, a big improvement came when I changed where the first door pushes the second one open. The double door scenario on mine had always created problems until I changed the geometry of the 'push' when opening.

You should fix it ASAP as sooner or later it will damage the door.

It was that way when I bought it 7 years ago. Hasn’t gotten any worse, and I really have no desire to pull windshield and helm.

Comparing apples to oranges.

Had a similar issue with my boat. Took off the door and lubed the tracks and rollers, but kept having the issue. Finally I realized I was not aligning the rollers correctly when I reinstalled. Once I got it aligned I have had no other issues
