2002 Amberjack 290 Rope Locker Mirror

Hi Everyone, In mid-process of buying 2002 Amberjack 290 in great shape. So far all going well and nothing out of the ordinary being found. One minor but annoying item, the mirror in the V-Berth covering the rope locker is cracked. In the Amberjack it does not appear to open to get to the rope. The edges of that panel with the mirror is covered by the two panels that have the speakers. Will these pop off with "Christmas tree" clips so I can get to that mirror to replace it? Someone said it might be screwed in, so how is that a rope locker if I can't get to it? I know, a crazy question... help?

It's a rope locker because it can be accessed via the deck hatch. It's a "locker" that stores "rope".

I believe the speaker panels are secured with screws, hidden behind the vinyl... feel for the screw heads then gently pull the vinyl out to expose the head. Pull the speakers out and look into the hole to double check, though. You may need to remove the backrest to get to all of the screws. All-in-all, it's an easy job - probably under 30 minutes. A little longer, of course, the first time you do it. And... add in the 5 hours that some people spend researching on that interweb thingy - sometimes you just gotta get in there and do it.

Ah ha! Locker access from the deck! Didn't know that yet as the boat is still shrink wrapped! That is the answer on the mirror then. Take that apart and replace the mirror myself. Thanks!
