Sad....Port engine 680 hours, little over 5k rpms.
Stbd engine, newly rebuilt a couple of years ago, prob a 100 hours. 4500 rpm's max. Fastest speed on 02 340da, 16.5 MPH...sad.
Bottom a little dirty. Fresh water reservoir, so not too bad. Props, excellent condition. Other than fixing the lower rpm's on the stbd engine, how does everyone else's 340 perform?

Is this a lake boat? Something doesn't add up here. At those rpms the boat should be 10 knots faster,

Yep. Lake boat. Speed, btw, according to built in depth/speed read out. 14 knts

my 2001 340 with 6.2's will hit 31 mph at 4,800 rpms and boat fully loaded with full fluid tanks and 2 - 3 adults and sort of clean bottom...they hit 5,100 rpm each (33 mph) when we did the sea trial before purchase....but the water and waste tank were empty and the gas tanks were very low and the bottom was clean and there was no 'stuff' stored in the boat......these speeds are verified with GPS....

don't trust the old Raytheon electronics for a speed reading....download a free speedometer app on your smartphone to get a true reading of speed....

Already have one on my phone. Don't know I didn't try that. I will report back findings..
