2001 340 Sundancer

Hi Everyone-

In the process of finding a 2000-2002 340 Sundancer. Have the following questions I hope that present owners can help me with:

ENGINES- 350'S OR 454'S? Are the 350's large enough for this boat, or am I better off with the 454's. Cruising speeds with each engine?

GENERAL- Are there any issues specific to this generqation of 34's?

You will want the 7.4 or 7.4 horizon motor in this boat. Get 1 with as many options as you can to include a generator. I do have a 2000 340 Sundancer listed in the classifieds section of this website located in Buffalo NY if you are interested. I moved up to a 38 Sundancer and have the 34 all ready to go come spring time complete with everything serviced and a full tank of gas. The boat is inside heated storage and you can see it anytime. There was an issue with the angle of the risers in this boat. They never issued an "official" recall, but many owners were able to get their engines replaced due to the damage. You can check to see if this is an isse with any boat you may purchase based on the serial numbers.
