200 Sundeck Thread- Questions and Answers

I am hoepful there is no risk, but I was/am worried about grease drippings on the gel coat. My other concern is that the swim platform is right behind the blower outlets from the engine compartment.

Thanks for the post chuck, does it drip grease at all or does it have a pretty good system to catch the drippings?

you right on the money cpditty. I like that mount that you picture. The thing I like most about the platform mount is that you can set up the table ( sundeck option) and feed everyone without being in the way while grilling.
Just worry about the grease.....no even a deal in and of itself.

You're welcome. Never had a problem with grease. The magama grill seems to handle it fine. Just to be on the safe side if I'm grilling something that could be greasy I put a wet towel under it.

Chris, I did the same thing with my cooler. I made the strap the holds the top the hinger side. I made a new hole in the strap so the top will be beyond the half way point : in this way the top stays open while filling the cooler.

I have heard a lot of conflicting info regarding the hydrofoils, especially w/ the Bravo 3's. For what its worth, I installed an SE Sport hydrofoil today and it definitely helps me get on plane quicker. It also seems to handle a little bit better too.

Still looking for a good cooler replacement or an alternative cooler location. Any idea's?
I bought a 36 qt coleman 5 day cooler and it does not fit in the locker that the OEM one came in. The OEM cooler doesn't hold ice for long at all, I could use it for food but then need something for drinks and ice... the deck is crowded enough with my wife, myself, five kids and a yellow lab. Swim deck maybe????

I bought one of those collapsable coolers from Sam's Club. Looks like a large insulated handbag. Works fairly well on those occassions when we need to have additional cooler space and no real place to put one. We keep it under one of the rear seats.

I am looking for a place to keep a 5 day cooler, something that will keep the ice and drinks cold for a couple of days on the water. I like the idea of a soft cooler but it would need to be huge and be able to keep things cold for a long time. Has anyone strapped a cooler to the swim deck?

I am looking for a mirror that will fit the 200 Sun deck wind shield frame. I called my local Sea Ray dealer: was not much help. Called another Sea Ray dealer with same results. Went to the West Marine store and came out empty handed: square frame only. Everyone have mirrors that will fit the square frame wind shield frame but not the big frame like the 200.

I am looking for a mirror that will fit the Sun Deck 200 wind shield. I went to my local West Marine store with no luck in getting a mirror. I then called my local Sea Ray dealer with no good results: third I tried another Sea Ray dealer and I still not not have a mirror. They all have the one that will fit the square shape wind shield frame. Any ideas?

:thumbsup:cpditty....I will try to find in on here I think but someone posted a link to some swimplatform mounts to hold a cooler.
Looked really sharp

I've had good luck with the suction cup mount type. Been attached to the windshield for 2 years without falling off. Not sure if there really is any variety on the sizes and shapes of the mirrors tho on that type. So depending on what you're looking for in a mirror, that might be an option.

Larry, I looked at the suction cup mirror but I has a concern that it would shake all over and could not see behind the boat very well. West Marine has one I could try and if it did not work the way I wanted, they would take it back.

FYI, my 2007 Sundeck came w/ a ski mirror...it mounts on the windshield. Sea Ray definitely makes them. I would ask again or ask a different salesperson/dealer.

GPS mounting ideas for a 200 Sundeck....Any of you guys have them? What unit do you have? How is it mounted?
