Sorry if this is a repeat. I thought I remembered reading something about this in the last month but I couldn't find it.

I need to schedule this service for my boat but wanted to make sure of what should be done and about how much it should cost.

I believe it should include the following:

- change oil and filter
- clean flame arrestor
- change fuel separator
- check all other fluids

Is there anything I am missing or is the above not accurate?

Also, I have been quoted about 1.0 to 1.5 hours max for this service.

Assuming this is correct, with a labor rate of $125 I figure this will run about $175.00 or so. Is this in the "ballpark"?

Thanks

Thats about right except I don't think it's necessary to change the fuel filter or clean the flame arrestor. Plus the service department should also do a visual inspection of the engine as well to look for any other possible problems like loose clamps, nuts or bolts.

As far as price goes, I paid $90 for my 20 hour service which included 5 quarts of oil and a filter.

Just had mine completed last month and your cost is in the neighborhood.

Also have them attend to any lingering punch list/warranty items left over from time of delivery and any other items that may have come up since then.

MM Quoted me $160 for a 5.0L MPI Mercruiser with Bravo III

I asked what it invloved they said change the oil and filter and look over everything else to make sure it was breaking in properly. No other fluid changes or cleaning of anything.
