1999 Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge venturi

Towards the end of this past summer, the venturi on the bridge of my 1999 400 Sedan Bridge started to "spider-crack" on the both side panels. It is progressing. Does anyone know if this is a known issue? Is there a repair or am I forced to buy new panels? Thanks for any knowledge and feedback.

Mike, it is the type of windscreen we have on our bridges.

Tpeeler, I have not heard of that being a known problem. I met up with someone this past summer that had the top cap work its way up off of the Plexiglas on one side where the center bimini support attaches to the top cap. He blamed it on a bad wind storm. Is the cracking near that spot and if it is could it be from the top cap flexing on the Plexiglas when the wind is working the canvas? He was planning to make up a couple of stainless “hold downs” that would go over the top cap and attach to the fiberglass at the bottom of the windshield on the inside near that point where the bimini support attaches, giving it additional support and holding the windshield down against lifting. Sounded like it would work. Might be s something to try after replacing the panels. Good luck.
